SharePoint: Remove the Quick Launch Area from a Page Layout


To remove the quick launch area from a page layout or master page add the following lines to your master page or page layout file;

 
<asp:Content ContentPlaceholderID="PlaceHolderLeftNavBar" runat="server"/>
<asp:Content ContentPlaceHolderId="PlaceHolderPageImage" runat="server" />
<asp:Content ContentPlaceholderID="PlaceHolderNavSpacer" runat="server" />
With Quick Launch
Without Quick Launch
